The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters came face-to-face to build hype for next month's heavyweight fight.
Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will break his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
However, the novice remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, frequently receiving massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently in the works for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul declared.
Size Difference
As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really happening.
